Cindy has a BS in Business Administration from Bowling Green State University. She spent 35+ years in the travel industry, working for companies such as Delta Dream Vacations, Holiday Inn, and Disney Destinations. Cindy was awarded the Walt Disney World Partner in Excellence award in 2007, and while at Disney, she earned her CTC (Certified Travel Counselor) in 1998. In 2019, Cindy opened Inspired Travel Designs to share her passion with others, demystify the travel experience, and inspire clients to consider new destinations and experiences they may never have imagined for themselves. Cindy remains an avid student of travel, attending multiple industry meetings, conventions, and symposia each year, building relationships with travel partners around the world, and continuing her education through certification courses. Cindy and her husband have traveled to 41 countries and counting.

There are many incredible river cruising brands out there. Did you know that almost all river ships in Europe are the same size? They look the same on the outside, but it's the inside, the excursions, and the food that make all the difference.
Which one is the best fit for you? Join Cindy Dykman for an overview of river cruising, covering the major brands, ships, cabins, excursions, itineraries, payment policies, and more. Cindy has sailed the rivers herself and holds specialist certifications with AmaWaterways and Tauck River Cruises, along with specializations in other river cruise ship brands. She's attended the ASTA River Cruise Expo twice where she has toured all the brands ships. She'll also introduce some of the newer brands, exotic itineraries, and cultural immersion trips travelers may not have heard of yet.
By the end of this course, participants will understand the importance of matching the right river cruise to their travel style. Not every river cruise is for everyone. NOTE: Cindy will teach the first two sessions in person. The final session, Oct. 22, will be held via Zoom.
