Teach
We welcome individuals who want to share their expertise and enthusiasm. If you are interested in teaching a three-week course or giving a single lecture in the Lecture Series, please review the term highlights below and use the links provided to submit your proposal. After you submit your proposal, the Curriculum Committee will review it and follow up with you.
We are now accepting Course and Lecture Proposal Forms for the Spring 2027 Term.
Note: The submission deadline for Course and Lecture Proposals is Friday, November 20.
Important Program Highlights
- Each fall and spring term includes three sessions. Each session runs for three weeks, and each course includes three classes that meet for 75 minutes on three consecutive weeks. Classes meet on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
- A lecture is a one-time presentation that is part of our weekly lecture series will take place from 3:00 p.m. – 4:15 p.m. on Wednesdays during the course weeks.

12:00 p.m. – 1:15 p.m.
1:30 p.m. – 2:45 p.m.

Be the first smile members and guests see! Welcome Desk volunteers play an important role in creating a warm, friendly atmosphere while helping with check-in and answering questions. It’s a fun way to meet new people, stay engaged, and make a meaningful difference in our lifelong learning community—one welcome at a time. No special experience is required; just a friendly attitude and a desire to help.

Behind the scenes
Tech Team
Help make learning happen behind the scenes! Tech Team volunteers provide technical support for classes and our weekly lecture series by assisting with audiovisual equipment, presentations, and other classroom technology. Training and step-by-step written instructions are provided for every task, so you’ll be well prepared. Basic computer skills and a willingness to learn are all you need to help ensure each program runs smoothly.

Curriculum Committee
Help shape the future of lifelong learning! Curriculum Committee volunteers work alongside Board members to recruit instructors, develop new courses and lecture ideas, plan each term’s schedule, and edit the course catalog. If you enjoy collaborating, organizing, and discovering engaging topics, this is a rewarding opportunity to influence the educational experiences we offer our community.
