Before retiring from teaching in New York, Linda held various roles in education, including teaching high school computer art, serving as District Computer Coordinator and Director of a High School Academy of Information Technology. She has worked with personal computers since the 1980s and has been an iPhone user since 2010. In her free time she enjoys designing and managing websites, photography, and creating handmade books. She holds degrees from Hofstra University, Columbia University, and Brooklyn College.

    Course description

    This course introduces participants to soft-cover book binding by creating a series of miniature books. Through this hands-on experience, participants will learn several basic bookbinding techniques that can be applied to larger books in the future. Students will learn to create two or three different book styles, resulting in impressive one-of-a-kind books. Participants will add personal touches with photos, drawings, lettering or paper collages. This course has a materials fee. Note: This course begins at 10:00 am.

    Course description

    Artificial intelligence (AI) is integrated into our daily lives in many ways we often overlook. Apple’s AI, Apple Intelligence, has reportedly lagged behind the AI integration of other smartphone operating systems. This disparity is expected to be rectified this fall with iOS (and iPadOS) 27. In this hands-on class, we’ll explore the new Apple Intelligence features on your mobile devices, and equip you with the knowledge to harness its full potential.
